Nine functions (Wood, McMillan, McNally, Ali and Schaeffer, Wilmink, Yang, Guo and Swalve, Grossman, fourth order polynomial) were used to model egg production curves. The goodness of fit was analysed according to several criteria. A numerical example was supplemented. The five parameter Ali and Schaeffer model, Grossman model and four parameter model of McMillan most adequately described the data.
